Nothing is worse than a cavity. Cavities are still possible even if you brush and floss daily. Glorious Smiles in Flower Mound, TX can help protect your teeth with a dental sealant.

A sealant is a thin, protective coating which coats the chewing portion of your teeth. With this coating, your teeth are protected from bacteria that comes from leftover food particles. Sealants last for years, and you can be confident that you are protected against cavities. Typically sealants are for children and teenagers (insurance covers most sealants under 16 years of age).

Visit our office in Flower Mound, TX to have a dental examination and consultation to see if a dental sealant is right for you.

Treatment

Getting a dental sealant is relatively quick and easy. Dr. Lopez Bhushan will first clean and dry your teeth before applying an acidic gel. The gel is there to allow the sealant a better bond. After that the gel is washed away and the teeth are dried again. Then the sealant is applied and attached to the enamel surface.
